Bård Vegar Solhjell (Director General, Norad)

Global challenges are increasing in numbers and in scope. Almost on a daily basis we are reminded that we are “in this together”, and that the way forward is through international cooperation.

How does this realization affect Norwegian development cooperation and how can international development aid meet the global challenges facing the world today?

This lecture will focus on how international development cooperation responds to the new global challenges. Bård Vegar Solhjell is introduced by professor Lise Rakner (Co-Director of the Bergen School of Global Studies).
